Frist Friday 06/10 – Evening of Style

Britannica defines art as “the use of skill and imagination in the creation of aesthetic objects, environments, or experiences that can be shared with others.”

With that definition and point of view in mind, we approached this First Friday Art Walk by looking inward at the skill and imagination of our own resident artists.
Lisa Layo and Mary Mulkerin used their mastery of hair artistry in combination with the skill and eye of Gary Maines’s makeup craft to create the certainly aesthetically pleasing “objects” you see here.

As a final touch we invited Dominica DeNaples of Lee’s Denim Diner (Clarks Summit) to use her skill as as an artist of fashion to create the outfits/ensembles our beautiful models are wearing so well.
We hope you enjoy this “living art”

Of course every artist needs a canvas, and ours certainly had a slightly upper hand here. Their canvases were not blank at all. They had beautiful foundations from which to start. Our models, from left: Elizabeth McDonald, Rosemary Nye, Lily MacGregor, Caroline Cowley, Louise Scotch, Katie Lynott, Michele Cimini, Erin Steppacher, and Meredith Osborne.
